Incredible experience, worth it!
, Jun 2022
The tour was amazing. We learned so much about the Korean war and the heartbreak it caused. The visit of the tunnel and the story of how it was dug and found was fascinating, and so was the what we learned about North Korea and its relations with South Korea. Our tour guide Kevin was very nice and knowledgeable and taught us so much about South Korea and its history. I definitely recommend this tour!

DMZ Tour
, May 2022
We spent the day with Kevin, who was a true professional. Everything about the day was handled smoothly, and he had lots of facts to share with us. Also, the tour itself was impressive, alternately eye opening and beautiful.

Wonderful DMZ Tour

Eric is a phenomenal guide, very knowledgeable and experienced. Eric's English abilities are great and he was also very flexible. Would and probably will book with him again as time allows.

Great experience, highly recommended
, Jan 2020
John picked us up at the hotel (3 people) and we had a great tour despite the JSA being closed due to African Swine Flu (no tours are going there as of Jan 26th 2020). The BBQ Duck restaurant (if you can call it that!) was an amazing experience, very authentic and rustic, highly recommended. John was awesome, and he has great stories from his time in the Korean military, cycling around Australia for 9 months and other adventures in addition to understanding the history of the two Koreas and the everyday life and challenges of young people in Korea today. We left the hotel around 7.45, I think we were back around 4.30pm.

Private DMZ Tour
, Jan 2020
My wife and 10 year old son wanted to visit the DMZ while we were on our first holiday in South Korea. We didn't want to join a group tour, and didn't mind paying the extra to take the private tour. Mr. Paul (our Korean guide), was very friendly and knowledgeable, and told us many interesting facts about the history, current political issues, and landmarks of our tour to the DMZ. I was surprised that there was also a separate driver so our guide could pay full attention to us. They both bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable and interested. Our tour included pick up from our hotel, Odusan Observatory - Imjingak Park (Mangbaedan Altar, Brdige of Freedom, Steam Locomotive, Bunker Exhibition, Dokgae Bridge, Imjingak Peace Park )- Gamaksan Suspension Bridge -Back to Hotel. Unfortunately, the 3rd Invasion Tunnel was closed due to swine flu concerns, so the tour could not take us there through no fault of their own. To my understanding, border attractions such as the 3rd Invasion Tunnel and JSA (Joint Security Area), can be unpredictably closed for any number of reasons, and for extended periods of time, so please be mindful of this possibility when booking your tour. Still, Mr. Paul did his very best to make up for this, and even took us to another destination (on the way) that was not on the itinerary at our request. Along the way, we stopped for lunch at a recommended ramen restaurant where we enjoyed the local 'Army Stew' spicy ramen! At the Odusan Observatory there are free binoculars to use, and on a clear day you can see well into North Korea; being early winter in January it was quite foggy for us and we didn't get a clear view; perhaps we'll have to go back for a second try! Can totally recommend this tour!

Jimmy was Superb

Jimmy was knowledgable and entertaining. His knowledge of Korean History gave us an understanding of how the sad untenable situation came to be and how the hope exists for a better but improbable improvement. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, likable guide capable of providing broad insights into Korean culture.

Very interesting tour with an exceptional guide
, Dec 2019
The number of changes to our itinerary were offered/suggested by the organizers due to DMZ closure and inclement weather. Handled very well and timely. The tour guide Paul ( he was right I couldn’t memorize his Korea’s name) was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share everything he knew including his family history during the war. His English was the best if anyone we met in Korea or Japan. He went way beyond our expectations and also suggested an additional change to the itinerary as going to the War museum instead of the hanging bridge. The fact that this was a private tour allowed us to stay longer or shorter in certain places and switch the sequence of places that proved highly needed as there was fog in the morning and planned morning visit of the observatory would have been wasted.

Fantastic Day touring the DMZ, Suspension Bridge and more! - 5 Stars - Thank you Jason!
James T
, Nov 2019
I had 48 hours in Korea and really wanted to see the DMZ. I booked the Private tour and had Jason as my guide. I was so thankful I did this - and got Jason. We spent 9 hours together touring the DMZ, the Suspension Bridge in Peju, having an authentic Korean Lunch, and then visiting one of the Observatories overlooking North Korea. With the outbreak of Swine Flu (compliments of North Korea) our itinerary had to be adjusted slightly with the 3rd Invasion Tunnel closed to tourists - but I don't feel I missed anything. Jason kept us going (even with me suffering some jet lag) and always had interesting facts and perspective not only about the significance of what we were looking at but his own personal perspective on many other things I inquired about. I highly recommend this tour and do ask for Jason (he can do smaller parties of 1-3). You won't regret it.
Exceptional Tour Guide (Jason at PIKO)
, Nov 2019
We were fortunate to have Jason as our tour guide. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, considerate and professional. He provided superb historical and cultural background during our long commute from Seoul to the DMZ. Despite a modification to our Tour (as the third tunnel was closed due to the African Swine Fever) we were able to visit additional sites, including the Ganhwado Observatory, 1.6miles from N. Korea, where we were able to see villagers in the distance. We returned with a deeper knowledge and understanding of the social, cultural, political, and religious underpinnings of this wonderful country. Jason far exceeded our expectations as a tour guide and has our highest recommendation without reservation.
I had an really great trip with Jimmy

Jason was an exceptional guide! We saw everything I wanted to see and then some. He kept us on schedule to a T.
Poor Planning and Communication
, May 2019
I had initially scheduled this tour on a Tuesday. Two days before, the company let me know that the DMZ was unexpectedly closing that day and offered to take me on Monday instead, which I agreed. On Monday the guide took me to the dmz only for us to find out that it was closed. The guide seemed surprised. I've since realized that it is always closed on Monday and no one offers Monday tours. We went to the suspension bridge instead and afterwards we found it that the second tunnel was open and went there instead. On the way, I could tell the guide was tired. He was nodding off while driving and swerving in the road. I contacted the tour operator and asked to receive another driver as I didn't feel safe with him driving after he also begun falling asleep on the tour. The company told me they would be sending another driver, but some time later they contacted me to inform me that they could not because the guide never told them about our change of plans, we were a couple of hours in a different direction. While the tours themselves were good, and the guide was knowledgeable and did a good job handling things that were not his fault, it was handled very unprofessionally by the company and the guide and let me very frustrated.
